If you’re searching for a place that feels both welcoming and full of possibility, you’ll find it here in the Sioux Falls area. I’ve lived in this region for over 40 years, and watching it grow—both the city and the close-knit neighboring towns—has been one of my favorite things. Even with all the change, the heart of this community has stayed the same. It’s still a place people are proud to call home.

A Thriving Region with Endless Opportunity

Sioux Falls has long been the economic anchor of the area, with major employers in healthcare, finance, tech, and manufacturing. But the strength of our region extends well beyond city limits. Communities like Harrisburg, Tea, Brandon, Lennox, Hartford, Crooks, and Renner have been growing rapidly, each offering their own personality and charm.

Whether you’re looking for small-town quiet, new developments, or a quick commute to the city, these surrounding communities offer plenty of options for buyers at all stages of life.

Quality of Life That Truly Stands Out

Sioux Falls offers a perfect blend of energy and ease—and the surrounding communities complement it beautifully.
Inside the city, you’ll find vibrant neighborhoods, strong schools, amazing restaurants, and a lively arts scene. Just a short drive away, towns like Brandon, Tea and Harrisburg offer growing school systems, new developments, and a sense of close community.

And of course, nothing beats a Saturday at Falls Park, a walk along Phillips Avenue downtown, or a local festival in one of the metro’s many small towns. Every community adds something special.

A Parks & Recreation System You Can Feel Proud Of

One of the things I personally admire most about Sioux Falls is its investment in green spaces and recreation. With more than 80 parks, 30+ miles of bike trails, and beautifully maintained spaces like the Japanese Gardens and Sertoma Park, it’s clear this city cares about quality of life.

And the parks don’t stop at the city limits. Surrounding communities also offer their own trails, sports complexes, playgrounds, and family-friendly spaces that make weekends and after-work hours something to look forward to.

These investments not only enrich daily life—they strengthen property values and help our entire region grow in a healthy, connected way.

Safe, Welcoming Neighborhoods—Big and Small

Whether you choose a home in Sioux Falls or in surrounding area, you’ll find that sense of community people talk about all the time. Neighbors look out for each other. Schools are supported. Local businesses are celebrated. And new residents are welcomed with genuine warmth. After 40+ years here, I can say that hasn’t changed.

Easy Living, Easy Commuting

One of the biggest perks of this region is convenience. Most surrounding communities are only 5–20 minutes from Sioux Falls, making commutes simple and stress-free. With the Sioux Falls Regional Airport nearby and steady development expanding options around the metro, living here just makes sense for busy professionals, families, and retirees alike.

Whether you’re searching for a home in Sioux Falls or exploring what neighboring communities have to offer, you’ll find something special in every direction.

I’ve called this region home nearly my whole life—and I’d love to help you discover the place that feels like home for you too.
